advice wanted please.....got a frog....

....in my backyard.
Its a big beautiful adult and was just there looking at me when I opened the back door last night to let the cat out.
The cat and I were both surprised and just let it scamper away behind the potted plants.
Now,
there are no ponds nearby,
the lodge is 1/2 mile away
Havent seen it today, but if its still here , what can I do to help it?
Have put a shallow bowl of water out with a couple of rocks in for now.

Sorry Honey have no idea, but you could ring your local Wildlife Trust, or River and Canals Trust, I am sure either of those
would advise

it will be just fine.
it is on its way to find a mate, please dont worry it is nature.
whilst it is in your garden it will eat a few slugs and snails.
just hope he hasnt chosen his girl friend in my pond, it will be a long walk.


Honey please put your name down on the comp, it will be another to add to the 10, even if you dont want to take part. The members that do want to take part can only do it if we get 10 to start off.

We periodically have one too. He lives under lees mobility scooter! We aren't very close to water either.

We use to get frogs and Ducks and there are no ponds here either,

we once had a frog get indoors.
