How does your surgery work?

I found out today that my to surgery has 6 free slots each day , for some doctors, so you can't make an appointment but you phone early in the morning and you get to see your doctor that day. Only some of the doctors in the surgery do this.
My daughter was recently I'll and when she phoned her surgery she had to wait nearly a week.
How do you get on when you want to see your gp?

Our Drs are fantastic and we always get an apt same day. Warren & Bill have been told to always ask to see Dr Kallarackel & unless he is on hol he will always make time to see them. I realize we are very fortunate.
