Free Vintage Knitting Patterns

Postby chenrezig » 17 Jul 2015, 14:23

Found these purely by accident, well actually, for some reason I felt inclined to search big museums for anything to do with Knitting, and I came across the one for the Victoria and Albert Museum .. I seem to have hit the jackpot though most of the patterns are in 3 and 4 ply wool ... They can be downloaded and saved as a Word document or a PDF file.

The oddest one I think is the nitted knickers and vest (ladies!)

Other patterns include jumpers, shawls, balaclavas, wooly hats, gloves etc ...

I will always look at you in a different way now Liz, and wonder if you have knitted them .

I really thought you was serious at first. do877

Nooo, I did wonder about doing the knitted knickers as a laugh to take to knit and knatter, but I wouldn't dream of wearing them, way too drafty with all thoes holes !!!
