Cat had a bad day

Postby Honey » 02 Jul 2015, 01:15

Poor Charles (my elderly 3 legged cat)
Yesterday he had to go to the vet with a slight infection and had an injection of long lasting antibiotic and anti -inflammatory.
He hates going to the vet, and is happy when he gets back home and can go to bed for a while to get over the trauma.
After his sleep he seemed much better but he chose to stay indoors in the shade because of the hot weather till late evening when he finally decided to go out for his usual sit in the back yard for a little while.
No sooner had he stepped out of the back door when the thunder and lightning storm began, followed immediately by a heavy hail shower with some hailstones over 1/2" big.
He sheltered in the cat kennel till it was over.
I tried to entice him back inside , but he wouldn't budge, I got pelted with hard hailstones in the process sp0
When the storm subsided, Charles came back inside grumbling , had some supper and a cuddle and has gone back to bed.
