update on the cat

Postby Honey » 31 Mar 2015, 00:15

Been back to vet today.
Have to wait another month to see if the pin will need to come out of his ankle.
Have to make sure the bones and ligaments have healed fully.
Leg back into 100 percent alignment thankfully, but he will always have a slight limp.
He is still grounded but is not bothered.
Vet very pleased with his progress and I am so very thankful to him for his terrific surgery enabling the leg to be saved.

Cat back at vets overnight, pin causing open wound on knuckles thin skin.
He is having x ray to see if op needed tomorrow for pin to be removed,
but it depends on whether the bones and ligaments have healed.
will keep you posted.

pins and screw removed from his leg today, he is so much more comfortable. skin will heal now.
bones have knitted back and healed well thankfully , he shouldnt need any more ops.
badly damaged ligaments healing well too , with lots of tlc and his medication he should make a good recovery.
he will always have a slight limp but its better than not having his leg.
So grateful to my vet for his wonderful surgery
he is a supervet too.
It really was a very nasty injury and the vet has saved his leg with his terrific surgery when it was thought the leg might have to be amputated.
cat now glad to be home and playing with his toys.

That is brilliant news. Your furry friend all mended and happy.

You certainly do have a great vet.
