Share or complete our annual survey and help us show the UK what it is like to be a carer in 2015.
The survey focuses on how caring affects finances, health and a person's ability to live their own life.
I am getting to touch to ask for your help. By sharing this survey with carers, you can help us expose the reality of caring in 2015 and show what needs to change to make carers’ lives better.
Last year over 5,000 carers helped us by completing the survey.

How each response helps
Each year the State of Caring Survey helps us to track changes over time, gather up to date evidence and campaign for a better deal. The views and experiences that are shared with us are at the heart of our work with Governments and decision makers throughout the UK.
We've used evidence from the survey to help us:
shape our Carers Manifesto in preparation for the General Election in May 2015 – the manifesto sets out what we want all political parties to do to support carers and what needs to change
campaign for changes to welfare benefits and to Carer’s Allowance – there's still a long way to go, but with the help of the evidence you gave us the earnings threshold on Carer’s Allowance will be raised to £110 a week from April this year
highlight the enormous pressure on carers when loved ones are discharged from hospital without the right care and support in place
show that loneliness and isolation is not just about being “alone” – a lack of general understanding about caring, low incomes and a lack of support all contribute to this for carers
This year is our 50th Anniversary so it is especially important for us to be able to paint a picture of the experiences of carers today.
The survey results will be published later in the year to show what it is like to be a carer in 2015 and provide hard-hitting evidence for our campaigning.
If you have any questions about the State of Caring Survey please get in touch with Chloe Wright, Policy and Public Affairs Manager, at chloe.wright@carersuk.org
Thank you for taking the time to help us – your responses make a real difference in helping us work together to make life better for carers.
