Gwesty Seren Hotel is a 10 bedroom hotel in the heart of Snowdonia, especially for people with learning disabilities to come and holiday with their carers and / or family.

I am Sioned, and I work for the Hotel. I have joined this forum to let people know of our facilities, but more so to hear your views and experiences of going somewhere for short breaks or respite. We are open to people who have learning disabilities to come with families and / or carers, but also on respite. We are looking at offering 'Dementia Weeks', 'Carers Weeks' and so on, where carers could come for a break, or people who have dementia cam come for a break - but need to do some research to see if there is a need for this?

Any thoughts or comments would be gratefully received - and I thank you for your time! Also, thank you Wendy for all your help so far.

I think offering carers' breaks is a good idea, as long as they can get replacement care or respite for their loved ones

I do hope you will get more replies on this topic, it looks so wonderful but it is along way from Norfolk, or I would have booked to visit you.

What a wonderful idea Sioned. I hope this goes really well for you.

You are in a beautiful area . I was bought up around there. The scenario and the fresh air alone will be very cathartic for your guests.

Best of luck and i wish you every success

My parents live not far from you. My mum enjoyed a talk from you at her WI. She was telling me what an amazing place you have.
