Saw this today in the city ... it is just over a foot long and made of wood

Nope, nothing to do with cards, but it is connected with something else connected with Valentine's Day

I saw it at Bridewell Museum during a talk on making chocolate yesterday. It is a chocolate stirrer.

The Aztecs used to use it to mix chocolate - they used to mix chocolate by pouring it from one huge jar to another, but so much got wasted they came up with this little gadget. When they asked us to guess what it is I thought you somehow used it to grind the beans as looking at it end on it looks like a salt/pepper mill..
