Good afternoon. Today I went to a wirework workshop and made a ring and a bail for a stone (only a practice piece to learn the technique. I really enjoyed myself with my friends. This afternoon my neighbour and I went to see Paul, and took Honey with us. They got him out of bed this morning, and he really enjoyed it, and wants to get up every day. We spent an hour with him, and Honey curled up on the bed and seemed really settled, so I will take her again. It was a lovely visit all round. He looked much better today too, so I think he might be feeling a bit more settled. (Fingers crossed)

Good morning, been awake most of night with toothache. Went to the dentist last week complaining of sensitivity in one of my teeth, & an odd twinge in my gum, he examined me did an xray & couldn't find anything wrong, gave me some pro enamel toothpaste to use & said come back if persists, the toothpaste did the trick - no more sensitivity (just like the tv ad says!), however, started with pain last evening, & still throbbing away this am.
Day off today & supposed to be going to choir, but we will see
Hope you have a good day

Good Morning, it is bitterly cold here, off to have my nails done. A Blue Tit landed on the window sill and was looking at me through the window sp0 it made me smile. Hope you get sorted out with your tooth Annie, there is nothing worse than tooth ache. Hope everyone has a reasonable day.

good evening,
Ann, I hope your tooth is behaving and Rosalind your nails sound good.
I went to see Scissor Hands Ballet at the theatre and it was fantastic. There was a standing ovation with loads of call backs for the cast.
When I got into my car, the windscreen had frozen so I had to scrape it. I did not go to art this morning as it was so cold and stayed in bed.
I hope you are keeping warm.
Welcome Harriet. how lovely to see a new member taking part

Good morning, it is bright and sunny but very cold. My visit to the dentist was very painful, he had to inject several times right into the roof, horrific, but today I have no pain but jaw is very tender, I have to go back next, for a check.
Bill had an appt for blood tests this am with the practice nurse, but says he has the runs again, so had to cancel.

I am going to my Pilates class, then going down to feed the swans, they 're trapped near the tunnel in a very small area that is not frozen ( the surrounding ice is an inch thick, so they have no chance of breaking it). Hope it thaws soon, I am afraid they will hurt themselves

Hope you have a good day

Good afternoon,
Wendy, I went to see Edward Scissorhands yesterday afternoon, it was brilliant, wasn't it. Today I picked up my little car - Renault Clio, so I don't have to drive the bus all the time. It's a nice little runaround, which is just what I need for me. I went to see Paul, and he was up in his wheelchair in the lounge, and was up nearly all day yesterday, and managed to feed himself yesterday, but had forgotten what to do today. They made me a sandwich so we could eat lunch together, which was really lovely. It has made me feel a lot more positive, and he seems to have turned a corner and seems to be settling into the new environment really well. The staff there are fantastic - very caring and know how to deal with Paul. Altogether a really good day - and the sunshine is out.

well fancy that Sheila, it was fantastic.
It is very cold in Norwich, and feels bitter.
My gardener has told me he will be able to do more this year to help me, so I am well pleased.

Good morning, it is grey but no frost.

My toothache as gone, the root canal did the trick, but my cheek and jaw are still sore and tender, I thought this was probably result of the treatment which was prolonged and painful, but I have now developed a lump, so probably visit to Drs on Monday.

Went to feed the swans yesterday afternoon & the cob flew out of the water & started attacking me. Don't know what provoked him, but he drew up to 4 times his size & chased me down the towpath & wouldn't back off. Guess it is almost mating time & testosterone levels high. Glad I had my jeans on though, as he bit me several times, little beggar. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you!!!

No plans this far, hope you have a good day

Good afternoon, a dull miserable looking day and thankfully didn't have to de-ice today,
I went to boots chemist to get something to easy my dry cough I've been left with after cold, I asked assistant if the medicine caused drowsiness and she asked Chemist and he/she said 'no' got home was about to take some and thought I'll read label, glad I did as it said 'do not drive' can cause sleepiness and drowsiness, talk about being miss informed.

Afternoon all,

I have missed you.

I think you and I share the same bug Maureen!! The only thing that I find that has helped my cough is cough sweets. The medicine aren't very effective for me. other than buttercup syrup which cures all!!

Hope you feel 100% soon.

fancy getting attacked Annie. They are frightening when they behave like that. Must be mating season for him=m to be so territorial. Thank goodness you weren't hurt. You are such a softie you will be feeding him again next time! sp0

Glad to be up and about. this bug really wiped me out. Can't remember feeling so rough. still almost back to normal so can't complain.

Thinking of you all

good afternoon, Glad you are feeling a bit better Jane. I would have been terrified to be attacked like that Annie, well done on escaping. Yesterday am I collected my car, which is lovely to drive, very nippy. Today I had a letter from the NHS to say they will fully fund Pauls care, which is a relief, but they review it after 3 months. My lovely neighbours took me out this afternoon and I bought my new fire, rug and light fitting for the lounge, and next Friday my carpet is being laid. I had a lovely visit with Paul yesterday, and it made me feel much happier. He seems happier there now, which is good to see. Hope you feel better soon Maureen. xx

it is so nice to see people getting better and coming back to share on Chill.
I have had a lovely day today and had a real rest.
Tomorrow i am going to the supermarket to get tea, coffee and paper plates, etc for the event on Tuesday.
I am excited about it now.
Isn't it strange how a day can be so different to yesterday.
I would have loved to see Annie being chased by the swan, and I am glad it wasnt me, he was after. I wonder what it would have done, if you had fallen. Do be careful.
keep warm

Good morning, it is cold and foggy here.

Yesterday afternoon, turned out to be sunny and mild & I spent an hour in the garden, hacking back, which felt good. I had a walk down the canal & fed the swans, Mr Cob behaved himself . I have named them Grumps and Gladys, because he is always Grumpy and she is always glad to see me!
Hope you have a good day

good morning,
I had a terrible night feeling sick, so I had a lie in. So far I have had one phone call with a very dear friend wanting to come round, I had to say no. Then my neighbour called round with some things for me.
I am going to have a coffee and see how I feel, because I have got to get the food for the event on Tuesday, I may go tomorrow, if I dont feel well.

I phoned several members yesterday and I know that so many of you are having difficult times, and Jane is going into hospital. My thoughts are with all of you.

Good afternoon, still foggy here.
Have been down the canal to discover the the cob had been seen with a damaged leg yesterday & someone sent for RSPCA. They have both disappeared today, so can only assume RSPCA has taken them both in. They have had a very narrow world over the last week, due to the canal being almost completely covered in an inch of ice.

Good afternoon, a sunny day here, i couldn't do my usual this morning as there had been a serious accident on the main road and it was blocked for a few hours.

Jane try Star flower capsules for your hot flushes, it's completely natural, it helps with hormone imbalance which is what causes the hot flushes, worked for me many years ago, I went through it when I was 38.

I am giving a computer lesson to a carer this afternoon.
