I made myself some cheap draft excluders for the bottom of the doors.
I had some old handtowels I was going to recycle (in the recycle bin), then I had an idea. I rolled one up on the short edge so it looked like a swiss roll -it was just about wide enough for a doorway.
I bought a couple of old pillow cases from the charity shop across the road, 25p each. I split them lengthways, then wrapped them over the towel so the wrong side was showing. I tacked them so they were snug to the towel, then took them off the towels, turned them so they were right-side out, then slipped them back on the towels then sewed the end up... that gave me 4 12 1/2p each draft excluders. They do make a difference as my flat runs east-weat so one side of my flat is all on the north side
PS, If we get the odd half hour or so when the sun comes out and is really warm and I am not going out, I open my curtains as wide as they will go as they face south all day.
