Good morning, I am cold and fed up with no heating or water & a 5 day wait for repair. It is cold wet and windy outside which is not helping. Hope you have a peaceful day

our local council will provide emergency heating, have you tried yours Annie
Why have you got to wait 5 days?
Never heard anything like it.
love to everyone, it is sunny here and I am beginning to feel better. I have made an appointment to see the doctor, but I think I will be ok.

Good afternoon, a lovely sunny day here, we've had my brother and his wife round this morning which was lovely and they stayed for lunch, also my cousin and her grandaughter and 2 great grand children popped round so we had quite a house full for a little while.

I will be putting the finishing touches to our Christmas blog later ready for posting on front page.

Hope you all have a good day.

Good morning, it is grey, windy and drizzling. We are esconced in the living room, the only warmish room in the house. Just steeling myself to go in the bathroom for a shower ( thank goodness that is independent of the heating). Nothing planned for today, just try and keep warm. Hope you have a good dayu

Good morning, a dull day here, I'm making a mince and onion pie for dinner.
Today is the shortest day, it will soon start getting lighter in the evenings, one step nearer to spring time.

Wishing you all a good day.

Good afternoon,
I am back from Blickling and saw the reindeer getting ready for Christmas Eve,
They had a war time band singing and dancing and Dad's Army telling stories of the war.
It was all very exciting, and I am glad I went.
I saw the huge tree decorated in the Hall for Christmas.
love to all

Hardly any daylight here today - damp and dreich. I haven't been out at all today as hubby not well so I cannot leave him on his own today. Daffodil bulbs peeping through the soil already - maybe that's too soon but at least it's a good sign. I can't wait to see snowdrops.

Good morning, it is wet with gale force winds. I have some last minute shopping to do. Other than that just tr ying to keep warm. Went to a carol service last evening with my daughter-in-law, that was very enjoyable (and warm). Bill spent the evening in bed , sensible ploy!.
Hope your nausea soon settles Wendy

I have had a rotten day today. an?? an?? an??

I woke up at 1.45am with really bad sickness etc etc, so much so that on one trip to the bathroom I thought "hello, what I am doing leaning against the wall - it dawned on me the that walls weren't orange but the floor was - I had passed out and hurt my back in the process. I called the 111 at that point and they got a "clinician" to talk to me who said they would get a doctor out to me to check me out ..guess what, no sign of a doctor, so I called them again.

Presumably for them to be able to tick a box the next one started asking me if I had been to West Africa! She told me they wouldn't be able to get a doctor to me til after my own surgery opended - talk a bout a cop-out...

I phoned my GP and to my astonishment I got through straightaway, the GP called me back on the phone, and then sent the chemist round with some painkillers for my back, something to rehydrate me, and something to stop the "other". The painkillers have done the job, and I managed to get about half a sachet of the rehydration stuff down -the other I have left well alone as I am a believer that if I have got soemthing that bad the body knows what its doing, mind, I will reconsider if I have another early am like I did this morning.

The very much downside is that I have had to call work and tell them I won't be in for another 48 hours which takes me up to Xmas Eve. So bl**dy frustrating after having tried so hard to get a job (which I only started mid-October) I have to take time off. It might not be so bad if I worked a full week, but I only work 2 and a half days a week .. couldn't get through so I left message on the managers voicemail, and sent an e-mail to her and my office boss.

The worst bit is that I called my brother to say I didn't think I would be able to make Xmas dinner! Really looking forward to that

Good morning, a bright and sunny day here and it is still windy so I have done washing and hung outside.

Hope you feel better today Liz.

It's 4 years ago today I lost my dear Mum, we are going to Churchyard this afternoon to take flowers and holly wreaths for mum, dad and Louize.

Do you know, usually I would be feeling sorry for myself and rushing about like a mad thing. But this year I am so glad that I am on my own, so I can sit quietly and rest when I need to.
I am truly grateful that I am on my own, but I must admit I could have done with someone bringing my breakfast to me this morning.
I hope Liz is feeling better.
