DRIVERS were left scratching their heads after contractors painted a ‘give way’ triangle in a road – pointing the wrong way!
Blackburn with Darwen Council workmen did some resurfacing work in Stanley Drive, Darwen, at its junction with Knowsley Road, on Tuesday.
But when they painted on the road markings, they put the give way triangle down back to front.
A council spokesman said: “The council’s lining contractor has been contacted and asked to return to this location to rectify their mistake.”
Workmen yesterday repainted the triangle so it faces the right way.
