I've found you, at last

Postby Sheila-Anne » 17 Nov 2014, 18:09

Hi everyone, Sorry not been in touch before now - my pc was still showing you as being in maintenance mode, so I didn't know until Wendy phoned me last week that you were back online. Things are pretty much the same for us at the moment, though I have told Paul if he refuses to get up for days on end he'll have to go into a home. It seems to have done the trick as he's been getting up and staying up a lot longer. I've got a nurse coming to see us tomorrow am to talk about continuing health care for Paul, then another assessment by somebody else on the 2nd December. I've applied for respite from 25th November - 9th December to give me a break - boy do I need one!!!!!

Hope to chat to you all again soon

Hi, Thank you all for your welcome messages, I was really missing you all and today Wendy phoned me to say she has sorted out the issues of me logging into the chat room. Today its been confirmed that Paul will be able to go into respite on the 25th until the 9th December. I desperately need a complete break. I've been feeling really down for the last few weeks. Last month I had 3 bad falls, and still have a sprained ankle which I've been told could take months to heal - it doesn't look bruised any more but still swollen, and I've only been getting about 3 - 4 hours sleep, so I'm shattered.

Thanks Wendy for sorting out password etc., sorry I couldn't take your call when you rang me. Will chat again soon.
