I have just had the most peculiar phone call ...

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze... wheeeze ...wheeze . NO, NOT THAT SORT OF PHONE CALL lol lol

A female voice asked me if I had to quote "any jobs going" ... I told her no, it was a private number and asked her where she got the number from. She replied that she just put it in Google ????  I eventually got it out of her that she had actually looked for care homes and this number had come up ..

I had to have a look for myself .. so I googled my phone number, and yes according to one of Auntie Google's results I am a "care home" ! I have been given the old number for the council home that was opposite Nana's (Dad's Mum - how weird is that?) I rang her back on 1471 and suggested she do a bit more research re out of date info on the 'net .. DOH!!!

Liz, it is not her fault, it is the home you need to contact, so they get in touch with google.
Or you will receive more calls.
I hope you get it sorted quickly.

I am not worried about it, the home doesn't exists any more, it was knocked down years ago to build "social housing". Just someone who hasn't done proper research - bit ironic as my Nana' (Dad's Mum lived directlu opposite).

I would imagine other people have done that found a phone number and the place is no longer there.

Just think in years to come the web will be clogged up with stuff that no longer exist.

I think when people are desperate for work, they do a search on google for nursing homes.
The one you mention showing your phone number comes up many times.
You need to get this sorted because other wise you will get further calls.

I will wait n see, as long as they are not trying to sell me something ... it is the only one I have had so far ...
