Good evening, I hope that Dudley's eye mends soon Debz. We packed quite a bit in today, we went to Hoghton Tower to a Craft and Vintage fair, did some planting in the garden and went for a long walk down the canal to see how the cygnets we getting on. It didn't rain as it had forecast so that was a bonus!! We have just had Lancs Hotpot, followed by meringues with strawberries, blueberries and yoghurt & we are going to sit out in the garden now with a glass of wine, just the job!!!

Good Morning All ..

This rain here keeps up much longer I shall have to get my dinghy out to go to the Co-op across the road! On the plus side, it meant I had no excuse any longer ... I have just finished sanding and washing down the skirting boards and door frames ready for varnishing... now having a cuppa or two after working up a "sweat", or starting to "glow" as we ladies are supposed to call it :) lol

Might watch my DVD later that I got at the Cathedral "Dean Spanley" with Peter O'Toole and Sam Neill- it was part filmed at Norwich Cathedral, but apart from a few scenes at Holkham Hall and Elm Hill most of it was filmed in the old part of Wisbech which I know well of old, as they used the house and gardens where Octavia Hill used to live (she started off the National Trust, the Georgian Crescent and the Castle ..

I hope the weather is drier where you are and that you have a peaceful day ...

Sounds like a lovely day Ann.

Quiet here.

Liv and lee went to the cinema. Sam and I had a film here. We watched Calamity Jane which may surprise you is one of my favourite films!!

Sam is at work them studying hard. She is really knuckling under for her exams.

Good morning, it is drizzling hard here, with 2 days of rain forecast. yesterday we had a quiet day & then in the afternoon, we had a walk down the canal & were concerned when the swans and cygnets  weren't in their usual spot, however, we spotted mum & cygnets further down & then, further still we were stunned to see 2 swans fighting.  We presumed it was daddy swan and the cob form the other pair. What drama, we stood horror struck & I took a video, we were afraid that one would get killed, they were at it a good 1/4hr, but after a while  they both sailed in opposite directions neither appeared to injured. Phew!! It was really tense.
Hope you have a good day~

Hi,
I thought you should know that Maureen is away on holiday for 2 weeks, so I am having to do everything on my own, which has been difficult with my family here.
I have appreciated your help very much.
I am not well, so thank you

Good morning everyone, grey and miserable here today. Been a busy couple of days so not been able to get in. Mum hasn't been well and after many visits to the doctors she was admitted to RBH yesterday, turns out she has been on the wrong tablets (we think it is the chemists mistake). Anyway her sodium levels are very low, hopefully she won't be in there to long. Also went for my scan yesterday so all in all a lot of running about. Off to the doctors this morning and then counselling this afternoon, so another day gone. Hope the day is kind to you all whatever your plans, take care, love Berniexx

Bernie, I hope your Mum's pills are soon sorted, thinking of you both...

I had planned to do another coat of varnish today, but with it being so wet n miserable outside I am putting it off until later hopefully it will be at least dry so I can leave the doors open to air.

No specific plans today other then my knit n knatter ..I always take something nice n simple?? to do as knitting and knattering don't always "mix" I might pop to Cathedral to get some more pics of that knitted shawl I fancied as I have worked my way through 209! pages of shawls and wraps on Ravelry which is where the exhibit card said the pattern came from and not found it ...

Love n hugs to you all ....

Liz xx gpr

PS I got my Dementia friends badge in the post yesterday so I shall be sure to wear it to my knit n knatter todau

Morning all.

An amazing match and very proud mum. A few tears (mine!!) Lots of cheering and whooping. An amazing evening. The girls played so well and Liv must have had glue on her goalie gloves the way she saved those balls (score 4-1)

Their coach promised to take them to the pub for pop and crisps if they won or lost! That's what they were most bothered by. As soon as they won it was "Are we going to the pub now Andy?"

The other team had turned up in a stretch hummer singing we are the champions! They have been undefeated for many years mainly because they try to knock out or squash their opponents!!! So sad they have been taught to play this way.

Anyway hoarse and stiff from clapping but ready for a good old natter in chat!!

Ketlle on, I have made lace doilies out of Andrex (V posh!!) When i say tiered thing plate I mean i have put one plate on top of the other but it is the thought that counts!!

So come and order your cuppa and get a lovely mildly squashed cupcake and settle in for a chin wag.

Love and hugs

Good afternoon, it is another grey day but at least it is fine and the wind has dropped. We have been shopping this am, no plans for this afternoon. Bill has not acknowledged our anniversary, I am upset about it but not surprised, so no celebration going on her, sadly.
Congratulations to your daughters team Jane
Hope you have a good day

Good morning,  we have sun here at last!! Hurray. We are going shopping this am & then  to an arts crafts and complementary therapies fair this afternoon.
Ann, Bill knew it was our anniversary, he chose not to acknowledge it & when I tried to show him the lovely  album of photos that Paula had put together for us, he just retorted nastily, "I don't want to look at it!" I am really upset about it.
Despite that,Irene and I went for a lovely meal last evening  with my daughter Paula and grandaughter Rebecca & my friend rang me from Canada, Irene got me a pair of solar dragonflies for the garden so that helped make up for the hurt, but had a terrible night, didn't get to sleep until 2am.

We have some shopping to do this am & later we are going to Trawden to a Take Ten event.
Hope you have a good day

Good afternoon, Irene & I have had a lovely day. We went to Clitheroe shopping this am & to the market for fruit & veg, & this aftetroon we went to a craft fair but it was rubbish, so we went to Townely Hall to see a great textile exhibition by local textile artists

we also saw the fab chandelier made from jewellery, we got pics of it & I will put them on later when I look for my dongle. There are some images of it on the link below
