Morning all,

The funeral was hard but we got to meet his friends from Liverpool and really hit it off. Darren would have been so pleased we all got on so well. Felt like texting him to tell him. Missing him a lot.

Was very odd though. his mum and dad seemed like they were hosting a party the way they were. No grief or sadness. She was like this when he passed too. It is their second child they have lost in 5 years and I know I wouldn't be able to function if this was me. Nowt as strange as folk though!

Off to an ENT appointment in a moment. i still have a swollen lymph gland and swelling in the mouth after 2 years they still haven't gone down. Seeing a different consultant today so maybe he will shed some light on it. the other one was good to start with but I have spent more time in a Macdonadls drive through than I have in his consultation room. Surprised he has chairs he is that quick!!

Good morning, it started out warm  sunny but it is clouding over now.
Maybe that is the only way the mother can cope Jane, I don't know how I would deal with losing one of mine. Hope you got some answers at the ENT clinic.
I have to go to Aldi and into town this afternoon & will try & have a walk if it stays fine

Good afternoon my lovely friends,

Hope the day is treating you well. I was given a new (to me) lawn mower yesterday and desperate to try it out but it won't stop raining! Yes this is the pinnacle of my ambition this week to mow the lawn!!! Blimey I know how to kick up my heels don't I!!!!

Liv is off at her cousins playing, Lee is resting, I thought Sam was revising but apparently and  xmas19 sa999  she is off to meet a boy!!!! OMG yes that's right I just OMG'd!! Very exciting. I will keep you abreast of developments!!! But as I say it's a secret so  sa999

Good morning, it is dull and grey but feel quite mild now  that  the icy wind has dropped. I am going to a food and craft fair later on at Stoneyhurst College near Clitheroe with my daughter and granddaughter. I am looking forward to spending time with them. Hope you have a peaceful day

Good morning, it is  a dull grey start again.
It did pick up yesterday & it was a lovely sunny afternoon, albeit with an icy wind , reminding  us that it was still only April. We had a great time yesterday at the spring fair, we sat outside to have lunch and listened to the jazz band, which was un unexpected treat.
I have to trail to the sorting office today, apparently, they have a letter for me with inadequate postage of 11pence, but they will charge me £1.11 to retrieve it!!!!
I have to got to Blackburn to the Chocolate House to get a birthday present for Yasuyo. They do hand-made choccies.

Good afternoon, I am furious, picked up the understamped letter after paying the fee, only to find it was an Easter card, posted on 17th April from my friend in Shropshire (not mad at her , but PO, unfortunately she does  decoupage, which makes it impossible  for cards to fit through their card slot gauge. I cannot believe  it has taken 11 days - I could have walked it quicker!!!!
So beware, don't send decoupage cards through the post unless you get them  priced first.

Good Afternoon, I always get my decoupage cards priced, as some go through the card slot, first class through the slot is 62p, if they do not go through slot, first class then costs 90p.  I know how you feel Annie, it is infuriating. Overcast and foggy here, hope everyone is having a good day.

Don't worry Wendy, as long as the envelope  is thin enough to go though the guide slot, they will be ok, they no longer charge letters by wt, just thickness, I bet lots of people get caught out since they changed it!

Good Afternoon ...

Have finally taken the "plunge" as it were and started on redecorating the flat. Starting small with just the hallway. got it all measured up (twice to make sure of measurements) and got the paint - haven't taken anything off for the four doors as that will give me a bit left over. -just plain magnolia.

Just finished sugar soaping and rinsing ... and stopped for a couple of cuppas  - got a two-step step ladder and been hauling (lol) mysself up n down it for an hour or two ...

Got a little long tub for the door and have got some compost in ...  might pop up to Aldi to see what trays they have in a bit ..

My Dad always complains that I don't put the correct postage on!! I just put a 1st class stamp on and hope for the best!! However the 40 mile round trip it takes him to get to the nearest post office irks him a tad!!! And he wonders why i don't put the right amount on!! He should be glad of the trip out!! He didn't find that comment funny either!!
