Hi Folks !  Bit down in the dumps today re not finding work after caring for Dad ... ho  hum. But at least I have a roof over my head, food in the fridge, and clothes to put on (lol),  and I' not having to battle all the time with Social Services. BUT best of all I know all my friends on Chill are just  a few clicks away ...

Thinking of you all and sending a huge hug to you all, especially those of you who are having a time of it at the moment ..

PS Annie you are not the only one who forgets passwords lol  I am looking forward to your next post ...watch this space?

Hi Wendy and everyone else

Sorry I have not been in chill for awhile life is hectic!!
Trying my best to look after Mum and Kieran, sometimes I am not sure which way to turn!

Kieran has settled into the day centres now but we are still fighting for a one to one for him!
He gets it for 2 days a week but the other 3 days he is a one to Three!! Very strange.

Mum's memory is not too good, one day she is good the next way way off!!

I hope you are all well .

I will try to come in more often.

Love Ann

Hi. Sorry I haven't communicated for so long but I lost my husband 18 months ago (he had vascular dementia) and I am now trying to get my life back. Thank you for still communicating and obviously caring.

Sorry I have not been on line for a while, but I have been struggling with the menopause.

I have now got it sorted with a combination of ant depressants and sage tea.

It is fantastic hearing from you all and letting us how you are doing, it would be great to hear from you again soon.
As well as joining in on chill we have a games arcade with over 600 games to choose from and we have a 24/7 chatroom that is usually busy later in the evenings.

Hi Everyone,

It's been such a long while since I've posted here. I'm still alive lol.

We've had a lot going on. My boy is now going through transition from children's services to adult. It's a sodding minefield.

I'm also going to college re-doing my GCSE's as my grades were rubbish when I was younger. I'm doing 2yrs work in 9 months and it's not easy. I'm doing Maths, English, Sociology, Biology and Psychology. I'm doing ok so far, but struggling a lot with maths, Algebra totally screws up my brain and Psychology is mind numbingly boring. It's a lot different to when I did GCSE's 27yrs ago. It's so much harder.

However, my other subjects I'm doing well at. Currently I'm at:

English - Grade A

Biology - Grade C

Sociology - Grade B

I keep getting D's and E's for Pyschology and Maths. I'm hoping for a good exam in both of those and hope the old brain works ha ha.

As you can imagine studying and caring at the same time is difficult, But I'm managing. Thing is, the college aren't helpful at all or really understanding. If you don't get homework in on time you get disciplinary action taken against you.

One think I want to ask is, as a carer do I have rights at college?

Sorry for waffling on

I think it has been a big opportunity lost that our chatters did not post on here, to give details of when they chat, and what they get up to.
I did contact them and suggested it was a special time in Chill to reach lots more members who maybe did not understand what our chat means.
a great pity.
