14year old charged with raping his mother

boy of 14 has become the youngest person ever to be charged with raping their own mother.

The offence is alleged to have taken place at their family home in Blackpool last weekend.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared before District Judge Jeff Brailsford sitting at Blackpool Magistrates Court.

The judge remanded the teenager in custody.

His case was adjudged a ‘grave crime’ and will be heard at Preston Crown Court at a future date.

The previous youngest to face the same charge appeared in court at Swansea in 2004 at the age of 15.
