Knitting for Carers Week

The local funeral shop will be doing a special window display of your knitting and a coffee morning and something else for us for Carers week.
I am very excited about this.  They will do the work setting it up. and you have done the work with your knitting. 4999

I have nearly finished another blanket with Liz's squares.
I am doing them small 6 squares by 6 squares.

I popped into QD in Anglia Square today as one of the drivers on D2D put me onto some work trousers that have knee pockets - the idea is that you put a bit of foam in and it makes kneeling a lot more comfy...got a pair that fitted ...just have to turn them up four inches! lol

Anyway, I asked in there when the store in St Stephens will be opening and got told "no idea", so it looks as though it will be a good while yet ...

I don't like knitting but I think it was because being left handed it wasn't easy for me to learn, but I am stitching some of the squares you have knitted together, I much prefer the sewing.

Well done to everyone who are knitting these lovely colourful squares.

My cousin is left handed and she couldn't knit very easily,she found it difficult so gave up trying.
I used to knit a lot when my boys were small, i have really enjoyed doing these squares
they are bagged up ready for taking to Wendy now.

Carers UK phoned me, and we may be contacted by a national magazine who are interested in knitting.
