Update from the Horace Household.

We have now christened him 'Horace the Humbug'!! His energy is boundless & he has discovered that if he is naughty it is the best way to get my attention.
If poor Tinker jumps off the settee to go for a drink or change position he has to drag Horace around with him because the humbug hangs firmly on to Tinker's tail. They look so comical.
My friend called in yesterday morning with some scones she had lovingly baked for us & mum. She was the first visitor we have had since Horace arrived & the humbug turned in to a shivering, whimpering wreck & hid between my legs - big wimp. Pomeranians need to be socialised a lot but it is difficult when they are so small & cannot have their jabs till 12 & 14 weeks. I am going to take him to the friend that I got him from this afternoon to see how he interacts with them & the other pups there. Should be fun.  ++!
At the moment he is helping hubby do the dusting by barking at the spray polish  sp0
I am just sitting enjoying the spectacle with a cup of  6-==

Horace had a wonderful time chasing round with his sister Bee yesterday afternoon. He got a taste of his own medicine because Bee dragged him round by his tail  sp0

Have added the latest photo, he is really changing in appearance, starting to look like the demon he is!!

You will have to collect all your writings about Horace that you have posted in chill, and make a little book and the money could go to your group.
It would be a lovely book.

than999 Wendy, I take that as a real compliment!!

Horace certainly provides me with plenty to write about.

We had role reversal this afternoon - normally Horace hangs on to Tinker's tail & Tinker drags Horace round! Today Horace grabbed hold of Tinker's ear & dragged him round.  sp0

I simply do not know where the last 4 weeks have gone?
Horace is now 12 weeks old.
This afternoon he is off to the vets for his first jab. Bless him!

Well we survived the trip to the vets but not without a slight mishap on the way. Hardly surprising with Horace.
Last week I took him over to see my friend & he got nervous in the car & did a poo.
So back to today. Yes - you've guessed it!
We get halfway to Bungay & Horace starts crying, next minute we notice a 'smell' or I should say a 'stink'!! How can such a small puppy smell so awful & make so much mess??
We carry on to the vets, didn't have a choice really. Carry him in, still in his smelly cage & have to admit that he has had an accident. They were brilliant, one of the nurses took him away & cleaned him up, presented me with a plastic bag containing one very dirty blanket. She was even kind enough to put a nice clean towel in his cage.
Then, of course Horace has to complete my embarrasment by peeing on the clean towel!!
In we go to see the vet with a damp puppy who thankfully got a clean bill of health. He had his jab but jumped & whimpered, bless him.
I was so pleased to get out of there.
By the time we got home & had cleaned up his cage & washed blanket & towel I was ready to collapse in a heap on the sofa. I promptly did so with a cup of tea & a chunky kitkat.
The vet told us Horace may be quiet & sleepy for the next 24 hours but not to worry as this is normal - no chance, Horace has been full of beans, he ate all his tea & is now chasing round the lounge with my slipper.  o904
