Kit Martin It's an image that haunts me: angora rabbits screaming at the top of their lungs and writhing in pain as workers violently rip out their soft fur.

Will you help PETA stop such violence against rabbits and all other animals who are abused for their fur or skin?

The horrific footage above offers only a glimpse of the torment that defenceless rabbits endure: many appear to go into severe shock, lying motionless inside their tiny, filthy wire-mesh cages. They endure immense pain and fear for years – until, finally, their throats are slit and they're skinned.

Soon after the findings of PETA Asia's investigation into the angora industry in China were released, outraged consumers around the world took action – and retailers took notice:

After learning about this cruelty from PETA or our international affiliates, more than 230 retailers – including Next, Gap Inc, Lacoste, Esprit, Calvin Klein, French Connection, Stella McCartney, and Tommy Hilfiger – committed to not selling angora wool.

After hearing from PETA US, Inditex – the world's largest clothing retailer – banned the material and donated its remaining stock of angora wool products to refugees.

Such progress couldn't have happened without support from caring people like you – but we need to do more because rabbits are still suffering on cruel angora farms.
Take the challenge!

We must reach more consumers, retailers, and designers in order to help end the barbaric treatment of rabbits and other animals who are exploited, tormented, and killed for their fur or skin. But we cannot do that without you.

Please make a donation during PETA's "Save Our Skins" challenge and help us protect sensitive animals who are tormented for their fur or skin.

Thank you for the compassion that you continue to show for all animals, large and small!
