Jenny - you and me both - having a new partner now it has brought home a few things about my hubby - I don't think its easy to recover from it but at some stage we have to move on - but WHEN! I hope the pain will ease a bit more soon. Sheila x

I shall certainly be there if at all possible. I cared for Mum for 10 years 'till she died two years ago in March coming. I miss her still..every single day & will admit I sometimes talk to the box were most of her ashes are still kept. My Daughter tells me she talks on occasions to her Granma's photo at home. It is clear to me that grief is much longer lasting than I had ever imagined. As I am now almost 63 I honestly think it will never entirely leave me......I'm sure there is nothing unusual about me.....

I must say Dad found their support most helpful after Mum died, he was a regular there for years until his health prevented him from attending. Just like a Carers Support Group, you are all going/have been through the same thing and can give advice from a practial point, not just have learnt/read it from a book.
