Morris Dancers In Norwich today ...

Blimey, Norwich got "invaded again today ....  I saw at least four teams of Morris Dancers dancing, then I saw this lot when I took my library books back - "Molly Dancers" ..

The reason for the disguise is that originally the farmworkers who went aroung Morris Damncing didn't want to be recgonised by prospective employers so they darkened their faces and put on peculiar clothes..  I have seen one team that are in drag in the past .. but that got rather confusing as there was one team member who was a lady who was dressed as a man pretending to be a lady!
