The remains of the Steam Trawler Sheraton

In WWI, between 1915 and 1918, the vessel was requisitioned by the Royal Navy and used during boom defence work. She served again in WW II as a patrol vessel and carried a 6-pounder gun, of a type used on Motor Torpedo Boats. During a gale in the Wash, in 1947, she broke free of her mooring and was wrecked on Hunstanton beach.

thank you ever so much for putting these lovely photos on.
You may know me and my family have had a lovely holiday at Old Hunstanton, but we never saw these cliffs.
the sands are marvellous and this is where my grandson learnt to ride a bike.

Those are amazing pics of the coloured layers of the cliff Mo,  and of the wrecked trawler too. I couldn't quite make out what it was to start with, i thought it loomed like a set of collapsed wooden steps but then i thought they would have been washed away

tha22222 's for sharing them
