Mum in hospital, thank goodness for alarm pendants

She pressed her alarm early Friday am, she was unwell,
care company immediately rang ambulance, than rang me
Ambulance arrived very swiftly
excellent care by all staff
A&E very busy, long wait for beds
Mum settled and seeing consultant Sat.

to all NHS staff for your care and compassion

thank goodness indeed.
Another worry for you though.
A friend of mine did not have an alarm and lay outside in the freezing cold for 3 hours. She had 2 hip replacements last Sunday and is being sent home today.
She is getting an alarm now but she would not have had it with her outside in the drive. So she needs to carry her mobile phone with her when she goes out in the car, which wont be for some time.
She is 87

So much to organise, mum moving on Friday.
Trying to make the move as stress free as possible for mum

Move went very well and on time.
Mum tired so just sorted essentials and will go tomorrow to sort out clothes etc.
I am tired too.
Family were a great help.

Sorry to say that Mum is back in hospital.
She collapsed this afternoon (Sat), thankfully I was with her .
Called 999 and the ambulance arrived very quickly, she was having breathing difficulties and her oxygen level
was very low.
She was taken straight to resus where they stabilised her. She is seeing a consultant Sun.
Ist class care by ambulance and all hospital staff.
Many thanks to everyone for your kindness and replies.

Mum poorly and on oxygen and antibiotics , but she was feeling better when I visited .
She is seeing consultant again tomorrow morning
I am still organising/contacting people re her moving house
Mum has moved towns and different people/services etc have to be notified
Thankfully I saved my annual leave from work for unanticipated emergencies.
will post more when I get time
