I am a carer for my husband(on and off for 40 years) but in the last 15 or so years it has been a lot worse, I am now 58 and feel as if I do not want to care anymore(he has mental health problems and refuses to follow any advice) is time down is about 6-8 weeks while the time up is only 2-3 weeks.
I spend a lot of time on my own especially in the evenings so I can feel very lonely, he picks up on so many things that it can be difficult to know what to say.
one very very fed up person. gips

Sorry to hear you're having a tough time, there's aways someone in the chatroom about 9pm everynight and there are a lot of topics on the forum to get stuck into.

Hi elaineanne.
It is so hard coping with caring. I completely understand what you are going through as will.all the lovely people on chill. My husband also struggles with mental health issues which causes lots of problems. He has physical problems too. It is hard for you to manage with moods and behaviours.
Everyone has lots of experiences and support they can share with you.
Looking forward to getting to know you.
