Mum in hospital

Postby Honey » 27 Dec 2014, 23:53

Mum fell early this am, thankfully she was wearing her alarm pendant, so the care line called her an ambulance and rang me.
I got there at 10.30am, Mum has a severe UTI but she was uninjured by the fall. She was very poorly for a time this afternoon but they stabilised her and now she is settled on the assessment ward. I got home at 10.00pm.
A & E was absolutely packed out with patients, people waiting on trolleys on all the corridors. As fast as they were seen more ambulances arrived with patients. It was the same all day long.
I feel so sorry for the staff, they were all wonderful. Mums care was excellent.

What a shock for you and what a long day. I am so sorry, and it is good that your mum is in such good hands.
I know you will be visiting her as much as you can.
Please give her a big virtual hug from me.
