Just a quick note to ask you all to keep us in your prayers. My darling brother was the victim of a shooting at his home in South Africa last night and though he survived the shooting and an operation he was sadly taken from us with a heart attack. Could you please think of my dear Mum at this terrible time, she is bereft. Thank you, love Berniexx

Thank you all for your love and support, a few more details now as my sister has managed to contact my niece. It was a brutal attack on my brother, his wife and daughter and the police say Joan and Rachel are lucky to be alive. The monsters who did it have been caught which is a plus. My darling brother is being brought home but it will be some time before that happens. We have just got to try and pull together as a family and try and get Mum through. We are so thankful for your support, love Berniexx

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers, it means so much. The priest is going to say a requiem mass on Monday at the same time as the service in SA, so at least we can feel like we are marking the occasion. Got a Christmas card yesterday that Paddy had written himself, will treasure it always also he had sent Mum some coasters and she has given us one each to keep *(going to frame mine). Just taking it one day at a time, love Berniexx

Must have been quite a shock to see his handwriting but very special too.
