Baby Blanket ...

Postby chenrezig » 24 Feb 2015, 18:19

I have just finished a baby blanket .. not sure where it will go yet lol but I am sure I will find a good home for it...

I found the pattern on the LionBrand website, a free one, and it took 2 x 100g of DK baby wool from QD (they sell it in packs of 3 x 100g for £3.99). Here is the pattern if you would like to do one?

The finished size is about 35 ½ x 40 in. (90 x 101.5 cm), one tip ... I always put a few feet of spare wool with anything I knit in case it needs a bit of darning at some point in the future

I am using up the leftover wool knitting some baby snuggles .. I got the pattern from the Norfolk Knitters, they are small triangles and knitted in pairs, and are used to help premature babies bond with their parents. The idea is that one of the pair is left with the baby, and the other with the parents, then they are swapped over so the baby gets used to the parents scent.

Thank you both, I have decided to knit baby things in white now, as it covers either girl or a boy. I have tried lemon and mint coloured wool for a change , but it doesn't seem the same ...
