Last Saturday a friend asked me to help her download music she had bought onto her laptop and IPod, and iPad.

I hadn't got the first idea how to do it as I have never used any Apple gadget. I think more by accident than design I foun out how to "authorise" her account to download from her music account to her laptop, then to her i-Gadgets.

When I got home I thought, I wonder if I can do a similar thing with my little Samsung tablet .. after an hour or so I had copied a few tracks from a CD to my laptop, then from my laptop onto my tablet.. I ended up buying and downloading a track from the internet! It was really nice sitting at work at dinnertime listening to my music, unwinding after a busy am clearing the decks for the break

itunes is also good for downloading books onto ipad's and ipod's

I recently discovered how to bypass something on my ipad with a game I sometimes play, the game wanted me to connect to facebook to move on but I didn't want to do that, I managed to work out how to get past this without connecting to facebook so I'm well pleased.

I discovered that I could get round Amazon's exclusivity on ebooks for Kindle by downloading books to my laptop & uploading to kindle

I had a sat nav last year with free maps for life. I had to install the program and find my device. I hadn't done anything like this before as I always left it to Lee or the girls. But with perseverance I now update my device all the time and have n account.

Last year was also a learning year for me doing the intermediate first person on scene course. I love learning new things and skills. Certainly keeps me going!
