I haven’t seen this in years – the “big four” –Vincent Price, Peter Lorre, Boris Karloff, and Basil Rathbone in “Comedy of Terrors”. It has some wonderfully funny scenes and great one-liner jokes. An affectionate, old-fashioned send up of horror films made in 1963 – no blood n gore or over the top stuff.

Vincent and Peter play two hard done by undertakers who are desperate for some custom, Boris plays Vincent’s father-in-law. Basil plays their landlord chasing them for the rent, and who is subject to narcolepsy … chaos and comendy ensues……………………..

I remember Vincent Price in films, I used to hide behind the chair! x Jeanne

I read two stories about him as he was a practical joker ...

On one occasion he took the place of his own waxwork (from the House of Wax), armed with a water pistol !!!

On another he sat in a cinema showing one of his horror films behind two girls ... at the end he leaned near them and said in a creepy voice "Did you enjoy that my dears?"

It is worth keeping an eye out for the re-runs of Tommy Cooper on ITV4 as he guested on one of them and sent himself up hugely.. it was hilarious sp0 sp0 sp0
