Do things change for carers?

I have been looking at some of our posts on the front page going back to 2010 and was surprised to read the headlines are similar to the headlines of today.
It looks as if nothing changes for family carers unless society makes it change.
Usually you would say it is up to the carer to change but that is impossible because they are caring for someone.
What do you think, take a look at the old posts and you will think they have been written today.

You are right Wendy, nothing has really changed for carers

and when I speak to people and mention the word 'carer' they still think I mean the paid workers who come to your house to care.

I agree Wendy. Unless you are one there is still the misnomer that you are paid. Maybe like volunteering people don't understand doing things for love or your community free of charge

and they look at your in a funny way if I try to explain what a carer is.
It is most odd after campaigning since 2002 and nothing seems to have changed.

It is sad to see that nothing much has changed over the years.

I think that the general public think we are paid like care workers are.
