Restricting benefits for people entering the country

Postby wendy » 08 Apr 2015, 17:26

Different parties are suggesting that immigrants will not receive any benefits for several years.
Yes, it maybe sound good on paper, but how will they live if they can't find work. Would it cause more crime in the country?
What do you think?

They shouldn't come here if they haven't got work, you can't move to Australia unless you have a job, somewhere to live and can support yourself, they want to start adopting similar policies, also anyone entering this country should have compulsory medical insurance the same as when we visit another country.

I totally agree with Mo, if they do not have a job and money behind them to buy a house, they should not be able to stay in this country.

When my husband stopped work to stay at home with my son (as he was very agitated and anxious), tried to get carers allowance etc we were told he hadn't paid enough in . , so he had to wait 3 years before he could get his private pension Lucky i was able to work overtime. So how do people who haven't been here qualify.
