Have you still got any audio tapes?

Postby wendy » 09 Mar 2015, 18:23

I am always a bit behind, and have hundreds of audio tapes.
I have had a good sort out today and have them in a bag ready to tip into my bin, but do you have any better suggestions?

I still have some and sometimes play them - when they were going out of favour I bought a CD/radio with a tape player in as I didn't want to have to buy CD's when I already had a playable tape... I don't know if any record shops that sell records would be interested in tapes?

I remember when the tapes use to break mostly in the middle of your favourite track, it is so much easier these days downloading mp3's or ripping a CD.

I still have mine & play them as I have a player. I used tape to knit with when I was doing textiles at college. If no-one will take them , they can be recycled as hard plastic at the recycling centre

I have to add, that I only use it for playing my homemade Navy Lark tapes so the machine lasts as long as possible, as I haven't found any for sale of late ...
