Kinship Carers

Postby wendy » 11 Oct 2017, 14:49

Dear Wendy

We want to hear from kinship carers.

The House of Commons Digital Outreach Team works to increase public engagement with debates, helping the public to have their voices heard and feed into debates.

Next week, Melanie Onn, MP for Great Grimsby, is sponsoring a Westminster Hall debate on the topic of social security support for kinship carers. This follows the story of her constituent who cared for her siblings but found that when she had a baby of her own she was not able to access benefits like the Sure Start Maternity Grant or Child Tax Credits.

Charities, campaign groups and members of the public are invited to share their views on the House of Commons Facebook post.

We would be grateful if you could share this link with your network and encourage them to comment with any views or experiences that can help contribute to the debate.
