In our Norfolk Central Acute services, we are running a series of training for staff in carer awareness. This is in line with our membership to the Triangle of Care to raise the profile of carers , friends and family members who can play an invaluable and vital part in an individual’s recovery.
To make sure that we can really use the valuable lived experiences of carers, we are inviting people who provide or have provided a caring role to people with mental health problems in acute services over the last 12 months , to get involved in the training for our staff by telling them about their experience of being a carer and using our services.
Carers would be fully supported in this process by the training developers and facilitators, Tiff Cecchini and Emma Thomas, both Carer leads for our Norfolk Acute Services.
Would be really great if you would be able to promote this to the carers you come in to contact with.
If people are interested in helping support this training , please could you ask them to contact either Tiff or Emma., contact details are on the poster.
Many thanks for your support in advance
