Chance for carers to have some “me” time

Postby wendy » 12 May 2016, 10:45

A new project aims to give carers in the Ribble Valley a chance to have some “me time”.

The Shed Adventure is a new scheme from Carers Link Lancashire and the Ribble Valley Dementia Alliance.
Free sessions on an organic farm for people with dementia or memory loss are being held at Lower Gazegill Farm in Rimington while their carers enjoy some respite.

Crossroads Care are on hand to support those attending and activities will take place in all weathers so appropriate footwear and clothing will be needed.

The next session takes place on Monday (May 16th) from 2pm to 4pm and there will also be one on Monday, June 6th. For details or to book a free place contact Laura Livesey on 01254 387444.
