Complaints Focus Group for Carers (on behalf of the Care Quality Commission)

Tuesday 17th May 2016

1-3pm

Rees Coghlan Room, ACT Centre, Aylsham, Norfolk, NR11 6YA.

(£20 involvement fee and expenses for travel available)



Norfolk Carers is working with Speak Out to deliver a consultation of complaints leaflets the Care Quality Commission would like to produce for people who use Health and Social Care Services and for anyone wishing to make a complaint about the CQC itself. Please find attached with this email a copy of the two leaflets we will be working to revise and update to make more ‘user friendly’.



We are holding a focus group / consultation event next Tuesday (17th) with 12 carers in Aylsham and still have places available.



We will cover the following topics:



· Who is the CQC

· Purpose of the focus group (redesign of CQC leaflets about complaints)

· Usefulness of leaflets

· Clarity in wording/ language

· Design

· Whether the leaflets help carers to understand the complaints process

· How we can make it easier for carers to know how to complain

Please find attached a questionnaire which you can complete after reading through the two leaflets attached to this email. Please return the completed questionnaires to the above email address by Friday 20th May 2016.
