It was in the spring of 2002 when Chill began on the internet and became a safe place for family carers across the UK
This was actually before Facebook and Twitter.
During these years I have made many trips to Westminster and attended meetings in Norfolk campaigning for better services to be made for family carers, who often think they are forgotten by society until they personally become a carer for a loved one. We held meet up's when some of us were actually able to meet and make friendships for life. We had theatre trips and lunches and continued to get qualifying carers onto the internet if they could not afford to buy equipment.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our President Nick Conrad from BBC Norfolk and our trustees and moderators.
Also my son Ross https://www.norfolkwebsupport.co.uk/ who has worked tirelessly on the maintenance of the websites and to Derek for helping with our computers that have gone out to family carers across Norfolk.
These people and many more have given their time to make Chill a safe place for carers who live across the UK.

After a stay in hospital last summer we began to hold meetings about the future of Chill and Norfolk Carers Support http://norfolkcarerssupport.org/ kindly stepped in with an offer for us to merge. This seemed to our committee a great opportunity because we know of some of the ideas that NCF have planned for the future of Chill.

As from 31st March 2016 Norfolk Carers Support have taken over the running of our charity and we have transferred over to them.
I will continue to help out with our twitter https://twitter.com/Chill4usCarers
and facebook account https://www.facebook.com/Chill4usCarers/
and our daily carers newspaper http://thecarersnewspaper.co.uk/ which is read by hundreds of people every day and finally I will continue to post on our webpage http://chill4uscarers.co.uk but sadly I am leaving the forum.

Chill now has a fresh start with a new charity having new ideas. It is an exciting time for all our members thanks to
Norfolk Carers Support for keeping Chill going.
I have left Chill secure for many years so it will remain a safe place for carers across the UK for carers to meet over the internet and to chillout.
I wish you lots of happiness for an exciting future and thank you sincerely.
Wendy
