Our autistic son thinks he's in prison -VIDEO

Postby wendy » 08 Mar 2016, 11:12

The family of an autistic teenager who has spent the last six months stuck inside a psychiatric unit say he is being kept “like a prisoner”. Matthew Garnett, 15, has autism, learning difficulties and ADHD, as well as mental health issues that are yet to be properly assessed.

This does not surprise me, my friend Yasuyo had a 12 month battle with Lancs County Council to get her severely 15 year old son into residential accommodation, in the meantime, his special school refused to have him because of his behaviour, s & at home, he wrecked their leather settee and chair, smashed the wood burning stove, smashed the gasfire , smashed the wood-burning stove, wrecked his "safe " rom and pulled a radiator off the wall flooding the room with hot water. Yasuyo was always full of bruises and bite marks. One one particularly bad weekend, she rang the social services crisis management team, in desperation. Their advice was , send for the police!!!!!George.
