I heard on the radio today that governments should keep pensions at 65 and this would leave more jobs open for young people.
At the moment there are not jobs for young people so they have to rely on benefits.
Why waste money on benefits when they could be working.
Seems a good idea and common sense to me.

It's a no brainer, keep pension age down to free up jobs for younger people, unemployment solved.

I bet it is because of cost.
OAP get more money in benefits than young people.
I could be wrong.

But many of us pensioners have paid National Insurance for 30 or 40 years for that state pension, with so many young people without work they aren't putting anything in the pot.

It annoys me when they talk about our pension as a benefit - as Mo points out - we have paid for it in our working lives. Get these young folks into work & let the old ones retire.

Annie, you have said it so better than I did. That is what I was trying to point out.
Why pay young ones because they cant get a job because the old people are still having to work.
Stupid.
