Now carers can ‘phone a friend’ in Norfolk

Do you feel isolated because of your caring role?
Would you like to talk to someone in a similar
situation?
If you’ve answered yes to either of the questions
above, our new buddying scheme, Care Buddies,
may be just what you’re looking for.
It will be offering you the opportunity to talk to
other carers on a regular basis, for friendship and
support.
We understand that caring can sometimes be quite
isolating, and it’s not always convenient to get to a
group that meets on a set date and time.
Or you may prefer to chat to a carer who’s caring
for someone with the same condition as your loved
one.
Having a buddy can give you the flexibility to
talk on the phone, email or meet for a chat, at a
date and time that suits you both. Best of all, it
gives you the chance to talk to someone in the
same situation as you.
So if you live in Norwich and are caring for some-
one with dementia please contact Ellen at Marion
Road Day Centre on 01603 667944, email
Ellen.Oliver@ageuknorwich.org.uk or just call in
