AN elderly couple face being split up after 66 years together because of ‘NHS red tape’.

Officials want to place 93-year-old John Smith in a specialist care home 15 miles away from his beloved wife Marjorie after he suffered a severe stroke.

Their daughter Jill Manley is now calling for ‘common sense and humanity’ to be injected into the system as she fights for her mum to be placed with her dad.

So cruel splitting people up, shock is enough to kill them.

That is awful, they will probably not survive without each other.
