Clinical strategy - Service User and Carer engagement

What are we looking to do?
Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is looking to develop its clinical strategy for the next five years.
Working within our strategic principles and parameters, the clinical strategy will define our Trust-wide clinical model, with consistent descriptions for the services we provide within the following core clinical pathways:

1. Children, Families and Young People
2. Adults
3. Later life

How are we going to do it?
The strategy and implementation will be co-produced with Service Users and Carers with relevant experience in the pathways in accordance with our service user and carer strategy. It will also engage with commissioners and our mental health partners and incorporate best practice from existing locality pathways, as well as national best practice and guidance. We will hold workshops for each of the pathways which will be led by clinical staff from NSFT.

When do we need to do it by?
We need to have developed a Trust-wide clinical model with implementation plans agreed by April 2016.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for Service Users / Carers across NSFT, with experience of any of our services within the above three pathways. Individuals should be willing to play an active part in group discussions and work as part of a team in order to reach a consensus.

What do we want Service Users / Carers to do?
