Storm Desmond: Flooding threat across parts of UK

People in large areas of northern England and Scotland have been warned to prepare for flooding as Storm Desmond continues to bring heavy rain.

Thinking of the people who live there.
Can you imagine the difficulties for paid Carers and doctors and nurses.
And of course the sick and disabled and their Carers.

It is very frightening for everyone, the wind is horrendous here, took Milo out early for his walk and it was getting difficult to walk in the wind. Feel sorry for anyone caught up in the floods.

Storm Desmond: Homes flooded and thousands without power

Tens of thousands of homes are without power after Storm Desmond caused severe flooding, and travel disruption, across northern England and parts of Scotland.

Power at about 55,000 homes could be off for "days" following flooding at an electricity substation in Lancaster.

The Army has been evacuating homes in Cumbria and the Scottish Borders, where hundreds of homes are under water and nearly 50 severe flood warnings remain.

Really terrible for those folded so near to christmas, it must be heartbreaking. The whole if Lancaster is without electricity, after their power station fllooded

So awful for all the people effected, with it being so near to Christmas. The pictures on the news look horrendous.
