Boggled by Benefits? Confused by Carers Allowance? Unsure what you are entitled to? Why not book an appointment for one of our FREE Benefits Clinics.

The Benefits Clinics run monthly in libraries across West Cumbria: Millom, Seascale, Whitehaven, Keswick, Silloth, Maryport, Wigton. One hour appointment slots are available with one of our trained members of staff.

During these appointments, we can help you to complete applications for Attendance Allowance, Personal Independence Payment and Carers Allowance. Clicking on each Benefit link will take you to the relevant DWP webpage where you will find details about elibigibility etc. We can also support you to make a referral to the DWP Home Visiting Team if required.

In addition we can will provide you with information about and support to access; Council tax discounts, health benefits and funding, grants from appropriate charitable trusts and benevolent foundations, and discounts from local businesses, leisure facilities etc.

Clinics are held as follows:

Allerdale:

Keswick Library—1st Wednesday of the month—10am—12pm.
Maryport Library—3rd Thursday of the month—10am—12pm.
Silloth Library—2nd Wednesday of the month—10am—12pm.
Wigton Library—4th Thursday of the month—2pm—4pm.

Copeland:

Millom Library—1st Tuesday of the month—10am—12pm.
Seascale Library—2nd Tuesday of the month—1pm - 3pm
Whitehaven Library—3rd Tuesday of the month—10am—12pm.
