Charities

Postby wendy » 05 Aug 2015, 15:27

Well would you believe it, I just had 3 men from Battersea Dogs Homes trying to collect money from my door.
I thought the charities had stopped all this hard sell of begging.
I think I will report them to Norfolk CC

As far as I know they shouldn't be door knocking and they may not even been from there, I would report it.

Apparently they are doing nothing wrong legally and nothing can be done to stop them doing this.
It was a complete waste of time me phoning Norfolk CC because the call went through to CAB who take the calls for them.

Police warn residents not to give out bank details to charity door-knockers due to visit Stoke-on-Trent in January

and yet when I phoned our council this week, they were not interested.

I think it is awful coming to your home. I find the christian aid people quite intimidating when they come for envelops. You feel very obliged
