Vote for partity of esteem in mental health services

Postby wendy » 16 Jun 2015, 10:58

Only 14% of people in a mental health crisis feel they receive the right care. You wouldn’t accept it for a broken leg and we won’t accept it for mental illness. It’s time for #fairfunding and we need your help.

As the new Government settles in over the next few weeks, crucial decisions on funding for mental health support will be made.

During his last term of office the Prime Minister committed to parity of esteem between mental and physical health – equally valuing the physical and mental health of people. We now have to fight hard to make sure the new Government fulfills this promise!

Our goal is for all 533 MPs in England to receive at least 10 emails so that they agree to meet with your local commissioners, call for a Commons debate on mental health funding and ask the Prime Minister to make funding a priority – and we’ll keep up the pressure until they do!
