A single ticket bought in the UK scooped £93million in the EuroMillions jackpot last night.

The winning numbers in Friday’s draw were 5, 8, 10, 11 and 37, with the Lucky Stars numbers of 7 and 9, lottery operator Camelot has confirmed.

A spokeswoman said: ‘We await a claim and, of course, have plenty of champagne on ice ready for our latest EuroMillions multi-millionaire.

‘It’s the fourth - and largest - EuroMillions jackpot win in this country already this year, and the lucky ticket-holder enters the National Lottery rich list in sixth place.’

The top prize was so big because it had not been won since May 26.

The British winners will now be under pressure to decide whether to stay anonymous or embrace their millions publicly.

The biggest lottery prize in the UK was claimed by Scottish couple Colin and Christine Weir, who won £161m on the EuroMillions in 2011.

The couple, who had been married for 30 years, were catapulted into the Sunday Times Rich List above Beatle Ringo Starr and Sir Tom Jones.

Too much money for one person, hope they give some to charity.
