Chill4 Us Carers gains charitable status!
Added by the Carers Information Team
Chill 4 Us Carers announce "We are delighted that after many years of struggle our peer support group for family unpaid carers has become a registered charity."
They state "Securing this status will enable our charity to continue to be a safe place for family unpaid carers.
Our journey began in 2002 with our members on the forum, who have supported one another on the internet and in real life. We have held meetings and lunches and we have a weekly meet up for coffee in Norwich.
We send out a free internet daily newspaper to family carers across the UK.
Since 2009 we have campaigned to get family carers on the internet who could not afford to buy the equipment and so far our small team of volunteers have made hundreds of carers very happy with a free laptop, tablet or PC.
There is really no need to feel alone if you do have the internet, because the members of our community forum, will welcome you with open arms. We have an arcade, a forum to post messages and a 24 hour chatroom.
The members share a good morning and good night and tell us they could not get through their caring role, without the support and help from the other members. Great friendships have been made and some have been with us since 2002.
Don’t be afraid to join us, it is easy to register and remember it is all for free. By carers for carers."
